About

Honoring Sarah Duval

February 21, 2021 - Today the Worcester White Hawks dedicated their home games to Sarah Duval, the young Andover and NS Shore Vipers player who lost her battle with leukemia earlier this month.  The girls taped their sticks orange (leukemia awareness) and played with passion and commitment to the purity of the game.

The Worcester White Hawks program including families and staff donated funds for the Sarah Duval Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Pictured here are the White Hawks U14 Major and U12 Minor teams with the North Shore Vipers U12 Minor team, as a donation check totaling $1,000 was presented to the head coach for the North Shore Vipers team.  Hockey families are uniquely bonded, and this is truly an incredibly special group of girls!

U14 Team Giving Back

Our U14 team (with help from a few of our U12 Minor players) raised a pool of money, matched by their parents, to purchase essential items for the assembly of 20 gift backs to donate to the Hotel Grace, an emergency family shelter located in Worcester.

Worcester White Hawks

are dedicated to promoting and enhancing girls’ ice hockey in the Central Massachusetts region.  Utilizing the symbolism of what the White Hawk represents as a basis for the continued development and growth of girls’ hockey, the Worcester White Hawks will embody vision, fearlessness, determination, teamwork and energy.  The program will focus on the totality of the experience, with the overall mission being to develop players who are strong in not only hockey skills, but also in character, integrity, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork.
